The Honourable Madélène de Vos, member of the Order of the

The Golden Swan event is held annually by Appledoreshire and is a series
of examinations designed to test the extent of a lady's persona. Tests
include clothing, times and customs, entertainment or bardic skills,
needlework and handcrafts, and a number of other areas. The tests are
stringent, and less than half of the applicants are successful. The event
is for female personas only, but there is one male Golden Swan who
tested with a female persona.
