Defender of the Hart

The Canton of Silverhart is once again looking for its champions. There will be competition in Archery, Throwing Weapons, Bardic, Games, Siege cooking, Arts and Sciences, Rapier and Heavy Weapons. A champion will be chosen for each area of competition with an overall champion chosen through accumulation of points gained from each area of participation. Can you do the Marathon? Participate in all areas of competition and be among the elite few to do the endurance test. There will also be activities for children, and parents are encouraged to come and let their children have some fun. This is an opportunity for the kids to participate, not a baby-sitting service. Merchants are welcome to sell their wears.

You can bring your pets, but the SCA leash rules are in effect for the event. There are horses around the camping area, please leave them alone. There is no running water on site, pack in your water. Camp fires are allowed if no burn ban is in effect at the time of the event. There will be RV spots but there are no hook ups, Tams Traveling Toilets can empty your septic tanks for $40.00 when they pick up biffies.

There is a creek on site so keep an eye on the smalls, there isn't much shade at this site come prepared with your shades and sun block. Wall Ridge Road is a very narrow road which at some points is a one lane road, please be very careful coming and going to the event.

10:00am Site Opens, Gate will have stew and bread for the weary travelers, have your bowl ready.

11:00am Rapier Inspection and Tourney

5:00pm Closing Court

8:00pm Bardic Circle


Sunday June 23rd

9:00am Siege Cooking starts

9:30am Sanguine Sphere armor inspection and Game

12:00pm Siege Cooking Judging

1:00pm Closing event festivities

5:00pm Site closes

At the gate, each person will receive 3 coins, whoever has the most coins at closing court will win the prize. You can trade, barter, give away, and win coins throughout the event.

The siege cooking event will be a royal breakfast, ingredients will be handed out Sunday morning. Participants will have 3 hours to complete their meals. Point will go for taste, portion, and appearance.

SITE INFO: Site is at 212 Ranch Road, Kingston Idaho. Site opens at 10:00am on Friday, closes at 3:00pm on Sunday. Site Fees: $20.00 Adult ($5 discount for SCA members), Young Persons (under 16) are free. Make checks payable to: SCA Inc. Barony of Wealdsmere.

Directions: Attention! Kingston Bridge is closed for construction. Those coming from west will still take the Kingston exit, but instead of turning left to the bridge, turn right. At the next stop, you'll turn left on to Silver Valley Road. Continue east for 1/2 mile and turn left on the overpass. At the stop you'll turn left again onto Riverview road. Continue on Riverview until you come to the stop sign. Turn Right on to Coeur d Alene River Road. Go North on Coeur d' Alene River Road 1.5 miles, turn right on Old River Road (sign will be posted before the turn). Go across the bridge and turn left at the old store, continue on the lower road NF 269/Wall Ridge Road for 1.3 miles. Veer left on Ranch Road, site will be on left as you enter the campgrounds. SCA signs will be posted starting at Old River Road. Note: Wall Ridge Road is a narrow road, one lane in some areas, please use caution and be safe.

Those coming from the east will take the Pinehurst exit. Turn left onto Silver Valley Road / Division Street. Continue straight to the stop sign. Turn right onto main street. Continue through Pinehurst, as you come to the top of the hill, take the Shiplett Overpass on the right. Turn left onto Riverview. At the next stop turn right onto Coeur d Alene River Road, and continue as before.



Exxon Gas stop is 3 miles away, across interstate off Coeur d' Alene River Road.

Snake Pit Restaurant is 2 miles away on Coeur d' Alene River Road.

Alberts Landing is 1.5 miles from site on Old River Road.

Walmart is in Smelterville about 9 miles from site.
