Tournament of Armies is The Barony of Lions Gate's premier summer
event. All aspects of our great society are
represented. Vie to become the Warlord of Lions Gate or bask
in the glow of being on the winning army. NOT JUST FOR
FIGHTERS! Arts and Science, Equestrian, Archery, Service, Thrown
Weapons, Rapier. All are needed for an Army to be victorious.
Two, count them, two full days of awesomeness!
To declare yourself a Warlord and call an army to your banner,
you must meet one of the following criteria:
1. You must be a heavy
fighter with a valid authorization card; OR
2. If you are a rapier
fighter with a valid authorization card, you need to appoint a
field commander for the heavy scenarios; OR
3. If you are not a heavy
fighter, you need to appoint field commanders for heavy and rapier
A warlord's initial army cannot exceed 10 points for Heavy, 10
points for Rapier and 10 points Archery. Details on building
the army is on the event facebook page or below.

Registration Fee is $30 for the weekend or $20 for a day.
Please make cheques payable to "The Barony of Lions Gate".
$5-dollar member discount is in effect for this event for adults
with proof of membership. Youth and children (18 and under):
Free of Charge but must be accompanied by an adult at all
U.S. currency will be accepted at par. Change will be
given in Canadian Currency.
v The gate to the park is locked at 10pm each night.
No vehicles can enter or leave after that time, except for a
v RV Parking will be available.
v You are responsible for your horse's
care while onsite. This includes feed, water and cleaning up
after them. You must contact the event team before the event in
order to arrange arrival and departure times.
v You will be responsible for taking
your garbage with you when you leave.
v In anticipation of the usual fire
restrictions in August, no fire pits or propane braziers are
v No smoking anywhere on park property (Bylaw).
Smoking in designated areas only (on Cartmell Road).
v Dogs are allowed on site and must be on leash at
all times due to horses being on site and local bylaw requirements.
Please pick up after your pooch!
v Quiet time will be in effect at 11:00pm each
evening in accordance with local bylaws.
v Drinking water is NOT available on site
so plan accordingly.
