a licensed pub, two gas stations, family restaurant, a small
country store at the Petro Can where you can buy
‘some’ groceries and also some alcohol, there are
a few additional tourist shops as well. This time of the year
the river might still be quiet cool IF you dare to go
swimming, but the water is clean.
The surrounding area is
valley bottom with the river and many horse, cow and hay
ranches, and surrounding mountains. Days will be warm to hot
and a dry kind of heat like Kelowna. Evenings will cool down
some. Bring your sun screen and drink lots of
Coming from the west you may want to
stop in Osoyoos as there are two larger grocery stores as
well as a full liquor store, all are on the main street which
is also Highway 3.

may want to stop in Grand Forks for liquor and groceries.
Both are on the main highway (Hwy 3) that runs through the
town and at the very western end of the town will be a very
large grocery super store.

is best to stop in one of the many places in Kelowna before
travelling to the event site for your main food and

will come up into either Osoyoos or Grand
