Join us as we celebrate the
disciplines of archery and thrown weapons. Camp in the shade of majestic
trees, hear the sound of arrows coursing through the air, and
listen to the solid "thunk" as knives and axes hit their
target.
This is the fifth year for
Archery Academy - "Weapons in Flight." We continue the
tradition of bringing the archery and thrown weapons community
together to learn, develop skills and enjoy each other's
company.
Ithra Classes:
Pre-registration for classes is closed. A few classes still
have room. Some teachers MAY be willing to take additional
students at the event. It may be worth asking.
Otherwise, the Chancellor will be able to tell you where your class
is held. The class schedule will be posted at event
central.

in both Archery and Thrown weapons at the event.
Grendel will be on hand for a
blacksmithing demonstration.
StormHunter -
Their Excellencies Ivon and Hlutwige, Lord and Lady Stromgard, will
sponsor a tournament to select their StormHunter (Missile Weapon
Champion) on Sunday. Anyone interested needs to submit their
letters of intent. If you have not already submitted it, you
can do so on Saturday evening at Court. There will also be a
short court on Sunday prior to the tournament for those just coming
for the tourney.
The tournament will be very
interactive. It should be a lot of fun and challenging.
This year's StormHunter will be accomplished in both thrown weapons
and archery. The competition begins at 11:00 on
Sunday.

Archery and Thrown weapons
ranges will be open for shooting and throwing at various times
throughout the weekend.
Food: The
Virgin Countess will be on site serving meals on Friday evening,
all day Saturday and part of Sunday for a nominal fee. Dinner
of Friday and Saturday will be served at 7:00pm. Coffee will
be served by 7am each day. Breakfast will be at 8:00am.
Lunch on Saturday will be at 1:00. Lunch on Sunday will be at
noon. No dinner will be served on Sunday.
The Baroness of Three
Mountains' birthday is on Friday. She has graciously invited
us to share in the revelry. You can bring something to
shae. The theme is Roman. Come by and wish her many happy
returns!
Silent Auction
- A silent auction will be held for the Raven Travel fund.
This fund is used by our King and Queen to travel outside of An
Tir. Please seeLady Hannah (rmmathome@gmail.com) or the
Event Steward to donate items.
Camp fees: $15
for adults (18-older), $10 for youth (5-17 years), under 5 years
old free, $40 family cap (2 adults and their children)
Day fees:
$10-adults. $5 -youth, $25 family day fee cap

Weapons in Flight
We have found a new site near
Portland! Bull Run Education Center/Roslyn Park is a
beautiful wooded site near Sandy Oregon, 22 miles from
Portland. This site used to be Roslyn Lake, but the lake has
been drained to allow salmon to migrate up the Bull Run
river. There will be biffy's (including one that ADA
accessible and hand washing stations. Bring a jug to fill for
water. Use your favorite mapping program to 41515 SE Thomas
Road, Sandy Oregon 97055.
Site hours: 3:00pm on Friday the
8th of August to 6:00pm on Sunday the 10th.
