As the days begin to shorten,
we are well reminded that the time Yule is fast approaching. Yet we
are also reminded that with this happy time, we ready ourselves for
the departure of our beloved Hersir Alfric and Baroness Jill from
the baronial thrones.
Therefore, let the word go out far and wide
that in honor of our Lord and Lady and of the people of their
lands, we gather this Yule season to remember the happy times of
this year and of their tenure. Join us as the sergeantry make their
final stand. Join in the merriment as brews, breads, and wits are
tasted and tested. Join us in the sharing of gifts and of a feast.
Lastly, join us for the Final Court of our dread lord, Alfric,
Hersir Three Mountains, and his fair-haired lady, Jill, Baroness
Three
Mountains.
FIGHTING!
For those wishing to test their mettle and
their steel, heavy and rapier tournaments will take place in
the homeganger style as the sergeants and champions of Three
Mountains are invited to make one last stand in defense of Her
Excellency’s honor against all
challengers.
ACTIVITIES!
Inside the upper hall we will have
children’s activities and a hnefatafl tournament. For
information on the game, please visithttp://www.gamecabinet.com/history/Hnef.html.
Also join us for dancing in preperation for the upcoming Twelth
Night.
Downstairs in the feasting hall, HL Sebastian
des Roseaux will be hosting a Yeast fest for brewers and bakers!
Brewers, bring your best mead, beer, or ale to quench the thirst of
our judges. For our bakers, bring samples of your best bread
dressed as you would serve it best and plain that we may taste it
as is. Documentation is not required, but is always a plus. Please
provide enough portions for 6.
We will share a small gift exchange before court. Please wrap gifts
for gentlemen in green and gifts for ladies in red. ($10.00 cap
please)
FEASTING!
Throughout the day,
there will be a potluck feast. No need to bring elaborate place
settings and decorations because diners will be eating when the
fancy strikes them and there needs to be seating for
all. Please plan on
bringing a dish for at least 10 adults, appropriate serving
utensils, and a 3x5 index card with a list of all ingredients.
Finger foods are encouraged.
