Archers and
Rapier fighters of An Tir pray attend! Bows and Blades 2012 is
nigh! Come out and have one last adventure before the cruel winds
and snow of winter start to blow!
Archers
will have York, Clout, King’s Deer, Royal Rounds, Wand Slot,
and Light You’re Dead (Fred will be making another command
performance!). Fun shoots and target ranges will be open as
marshals and circumstances permit. Sunday will have the tournament
to find our next Baronial Protector as well as other fun shoots!
The MIC is HL Ronan MacKay, OGGS.
Rapier
fighters will have various scenarios, and Don Lyall Foxx of the
Hills will be teaching a class. The Rapier MIC is Baron Shannon
O’Duncan.
Site opens
3 p.m. Friday and closes 4 p.m. Sunday. Help setting up would be
greatly appreciated, and set up will start around noon Friday. Cost
is $12 for adults, youth 6-17 is $8, 5 and under are free. Family
cap is $40. NMS applies.
Tentative schedule: Friday noon setup, gate opens at 3. Royal
Rounds and rapier as circumstances and marshals permit. Saturday 9
a.m. York, Royal Round range open and rapier scenarios. 11 a.m.
opening court, all ranges and fighting close. After court, York
finishes, Clout and Light You're Dead begin, and Royal
Rounds continue. Rapier scenarios continue until all are too tired
to thrust and parry. There will be a potluck under the Baronial
Pavilion at around 5 p.m. In the evening, conditions and marshals
permitting, there will be a candle light shoot. Sunday 9 a.m.
Barional Protector Box tournament, Flight, and more rapier
scenarios. Closing court TBA.
Please note that the site has no water. Trash must be packed
out.

North or South, take I-82 to Yakima/Union Gap. Take the Valley Mall
Blvd exit into Union Gap, continue to Main Street (Sears will be to
your right) and take a left at the light. Continue on Main Street,
stay in the left hand lane, go up on to the overpass at the end of
Main Street and take the right into Fullbright
Park.
