The Barony of Borealis invites our friends and neighbours to celebrate mid-winter at Yule Feast, Saturday December 12 at the Alberta Avenue Community Centre, 9210-118 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta. Join us for games and activities in the afternoon, stay for fabulous food and a masked ball in the evening. We’ll dance to live music; pre-event dance classes will be offered in Borealis in the fall. Links to step instructions, music and videos are forthcoming.

 

Set 1: Earl of Essex measure; Sweet Kate; Korobushka; Milisons Jegg; Petit Riens; Double Bransle. Set 2: Pavane; Horses Bransle; Chiranzana; Sellinger’s Round; Lebens Distonys; Celts’ Bransle.

 

And there’s more! Attend THUA classes on site all weekend. Theme is Performing Arts: bardic, music, singing, dancing, storytelling, etc. There’s lots of merchant space available; contact Event Steward for details.

 

Site fees are:

Saturday:

Adult (16+) - $10
Youth (10-15) - $5
Child (<10) – Free

 

Sunday
Adult (16+) - $5
Youth & Child – Free

 

Includes THUA registration; additional fees to cover material costs may also apply to specific classes.

 

Non Member Surcharge - the $3 NMS will be applied to all adult site fees for those who cannot show proof of SCA membership at the door.

 

Feast tickets are $10/person; Children under 10 no charge.

 

The only confirmed feast reservation is a paid reservation! Deadline for payment is December 5, 2009.
