Their Excellencies Cedric and Brighid invite you to join with
their populace as we celebrate our 27th annual June Faire for
a full weekend of festivities. Experience feats of armored
combat, the finesse of rapier, high-flying missiles,
equestrian activities, the skillful displays of artisans and
the beauty of the bardic arts - as well as some of the
finest, handpicked merchants in the known world. This is our
annual Demo for the public; please show off your best for the
moderns who attend.
The Faire is MOVING BACK within the
Port Gamble town. We have designed a new event
setting sure to encourage a better environment for the public
and SCA participants. The site is without power and we
encourage you to prepare for all possibilities. Visit
www.portgamble.com for community info.
Peers of An Tir, please encourage your Apprentices,
Protégés, Squires and Students to join in the
many activities to showcase An Tir to the modern public...and
to earn spiffy prizes
Activity Schedule will be posted on the June Faire website:
http://www.dragonslaire.org/Events/junefaire.html?Event_ID=2185&myDate=0
CAMPING NOTE: Pre-registration is
CLOSED. While it is no longer possible to
*reserve* camping space - now that pre-registration has
closed - we have set aside spaces for single camping.
Single camping will be for those individuals or families who
are not camping with a pre-registered group. People who
arrive together may camp together. Please be aware that
the square foot allotment for single camping will most likely
be less than 250 square feet per person.
RV NOTE: There are no hook-ups for
RV's on site. Generator usage should be kept to a
minimum and no generators will be run after 10:00 PM quiet
time.
VOLUNTEER NOTE: Volunteer, Volunteer, Volunteer.
Volunteers are always needed. This is a public
demonstration that is only effective with the generosity of
the populace volunteering to assist. Please contact the
volunteer coordinator to sign up for areas that you are
interested in helping out. One hour of your time at the
event greatly improves the quality and enjoyment of the event
for everyone.
BARDIC NOTE: Please contact the baronial Bardic
minister to volunteer your time and service. We have
space available on the Bardic stage and welcome wandering
minstrels throughout the day. Showcase your skills and
help create the medieval atmosphere that makes June Faire
such a wonderful experience.
