Fall Crown Council

The Great Shire of Wyewood is proud to host Fall Crown Council on behalf of Their Royal Majesties, King Cedric and his fair Queen Elizabeth.  This event will be held on Saturday, November 7th AS XLIV at Fairwood Assembly of God.

** King Cedric's Tournament & Fighter information below **

The Wyewood Hospitality Team will have an All-Day Honor Buffet at which some hot & hearty foods will be introduced at lunch time. Lunch hour: 11:30am - 12:30pm.

There will be complimentary coffee but if you need an extra jolt in the morning:  Please allow the past to help the future.  We have a "Barista Kart" on site.  The coffee brewing starts at 8am until 11am.  Proceeds go towards the Church's Youth Group. 
Please CASH only.  

Gate opens at 8:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm. This is a Dry Site.  Gate fee is $8 for adults ages 18 and over. (NMS of $3 will apply) 17 years old and under: Free. Make checks payable to “SCA Inc – Shire of Wyewood”.

Royal Court
Doors for "Court only attendance" OPEN at 2:45pm. Site closes at 5pm
Royal Court starts at 3:30pm
Cost:      For Court ONLY - Free! (please still sign in at Gate)

12:30 PM - 1:45 PM:  Pelican Meeting

2:00 PM - 3:15 PM:  Laurel Meeting / Order of the White Scarf

3:30 PM:  Closing Court

Fighter Practice will be held at Meeker Middle School, 12600 SE 192nd Street, Renton, WA  98058. 

Fighter's Field Schedule:
10:00 am Site opens - Field set-up begins

11:30 am - 12:30pm Combat Archery Senior Marshal Training
1:00 pm ** King's Tournament

Fighters attending the fight practice, there is no site fee at Meeker Middle School.  However, that location has no restrooms.  If you travel to Crown Council and enter the building, you are required to pay a $8 site fee.  In the event that The Crown requires your presence at Crown Council, your site fee may or may not be waived (determined on individual case by case basis).

KING's TOURNAMENT

Start time: 1pm

The tournament will be held in a double elimination style, but with a twist.
We are going to throw in some rounds where only matched weapons will be
used. These weapons will be provided. If you have a set of full gauntlets,
please bring them. We will have a few of ours on hand to borrow as well.


                        1st  Round  --  swing what you bring

                        2nd Round  --  swing what you bring

                        3rd Round  --  matched bastard swords

                          4th Round  --  swing what you bring

                         5th Round  --  matched poleaxes

                        6th Round  --  swing what you bring

                        7th Round  --  matched bucklers and your own sword

                         all other rounds  --  swing what you bring

                        Finals will be a best 2 of 3 using the matched 
                        weapons forms.

Anyone who would like to
help with the tournament, please come on by.  The
tournament will start at 1 pm to allow for completion and cleanup prior to
closing court at 3:30.

This tournament is not taking the place of the fight practice, so if you
aren't interested in entering into the tournament, there should be plenty of
others willing to cross swords.

Marshals training for Combat Archery

There will be a hands-on training designed for Senior Marshals to help aid in learning Combat Archery.
Who: This is designed to help train Senior Marshals, but is open to anyone interested.
Bring:  Note paper, pen or pencil, and a chair.
Time: 11:30 a.m. till 12:30 pm.
Cost: FREE!
Location: Fall Crown Council Fighter Practice.

Directions to site:
          From I-405N or I-405S, take Exit 2 & follow signs to merge onto
             WA-167 North (towards Renton)
          Turn Right onto S. Grady Way (at Rainier/167/Grady Intersection)
          Turn Right onto Talbot Rd S which becomes Benson Dr. S
          Go About 3 miles, then turn left onto SE 192nd St. (at traffic light)
          Fairwood Assembly of God Church is about 1.4 miles on the left at
             the top of the hill

Fighter Practice Site:      Meeker Middle School

         Follow the above directions. School will be before the church
         at the bottom of the hill, about 1.2 miles when turn onto SE 192nd St.
