A
Letter from the Preceptor of Pages
Sunday, October 4, 1998 ASXXXII
I would like to extend an invitation to all Branches to tender proposals to Host the next Pages Camp. Responsibilities of the Host Branch: Provide a site with sheltered facilities (permanent structures, weather-proof pavilions or both), a kitchen (for cooking classes), space for erics/ranges for at least one of the Martial Arts and amenities for camping. There should be at least 2 classrooms and each room should be able to accommodate at least 10 students and the instructor(s). Provide staffing services: Site Autocrat, Constable in Charge, staff for Gate and other tasks for the smooth running of the Camp. Room for a Potluck feast (and feast-o-crat) is optional.
Responsibilities of the Preceptor: Arrange the classes, recruit instructors, create the syllabus and work with the Site Autocrat to promote, advertise and run the event.
The Pages&rsqu;0 Camp can be scheduled any weekend, between June and August 1999, which does not have an insurmountable scheduling conflict. The College of Pages does not have a budget for Pages&rsqu;0 Camp (unless somebody has donated funds that I am not aware of). Therefore, the site fees should be sufficient to recoup the outlay and costs of the site, Camp operating expenses, the teacher&rsqu;0s gas stipend, materials and copying costs.
Please contact the Preceptor for more details.
